How To Set Up Your Home Office
As a ONE Group Representative, you now are the proud owner of your own enterprize, with enormous potential. Working from your home can be a double edged sword. In your favour are proximity and convenience. It is critical however, that you set up your working space and materials so that your professional objectives are best served. With that in mind, here are a few tips to make that job a little easier for you....
OFFICE & STATIONERY - Purchase a diary or daily planner if you do not already have one.
- Get business cards printed (link found in Members Home - Marketing Tools on the website or visit: www.clickbusinesscards.com/onegroup)
- Buy a stamp or get stickers printed with your name, phone number and website details to place on your marketing materials.
- Set up your voicemail with a professional and friendly greeting. See the following for an example:
Use these helpful voicemail tips: -- Write your message script. -- Practice your message before you record it a number of times. -- Stand while recording your message as it ads energy to your voice. -- Smile while recording your message as it will show through your words when the message is played. -- Get honest feedback from a few people if you are unsure how it sounds -- Don't leave a message with "umm" or other stumbles. Re-record it. -- Customize your message. -- Include your "unique selling proposition" in your message. (What's this?)

- Ensure you have regular access to the Internet. This business can be run effectively through the internet and phone, so it is essential to have easy access to both. Remember that this is a people based business. Use your communications to bring out the best in people. For that to happen you have to bring out the best in your self….personal development!
- Have an email address specifically for your ONE Group business. If you don't have an email account with your internet service provider then you can set up a free account with yahoo or hotmail. If you do have a paid account then a separate email address will be more professional.
- Access to a Printer for printing forms, pricelists, letterheads, and other business material.
- Download a copy of the forms and pricelists (found in Members Home - Forms & Allocations). Learn which forms apply to whom.
- Set up a database where you can put all the contact details of your leads, customers and reps. If you are able to create distribution list with you email software then you will be able to send bulk emails. One list/folder can be for Customers or potential customers and you can send them a 'product feature' mail each month. You can put your active reps into another distribution list or folder to send them group emails. A third list might be for Inquiries from your mienterprize site (see Module E) or any advertising about the business. You could use Microsoft excel spreadsheet to record details, or a book specifically for that use.
